The Entrepreneur Track was developed specifically for participants who want to explore a range of entrepreneurial pursuits, whether at a startup or as part of a new venture within a larger company. This curriculum builds the core business skills and professional traits critical to success within the mercurial landscape of an entrepreneurial venture. Participants learn to identify, evaluate and act on the viability of business opportunities in situations marked by risk, change and uncertainty.
Our interactive learning model simulates the experience of launching a viable enterprise, progressing from lone idea-generator to collaborating as part of a well-functioning team. Particular emphasis is given to creating an idea, developing the brand, modeling finances and then delivering an effective pitch to advisors, investors and prospective hires.
Building upon the Core Curriculum, the Entrepreneur Track includes the following:
- Industry Analysis and Idea Creation
- Brand Creation
- Teams and Funding
- Entrepreneurial Finance
Through the entrepreneurial process and exposure to case studies, this track builds participants' fluency in the languages of finance, innovation, and collaboration, through the lens of an entrepreneur.
- How to structure financial statements and evaluate cash flow
- How investment decisions are made, including how enterprises are valued by investors
- How to leverage different sources of funding at various stages of growth
